I kinda prefer the 353, (but I don't think I'm allowed to think that on saw forums).
Seems to me, the 346 has got more rpm's, but the 353 is more user friendly imo.
If there's any truth to what I'm saying, somebody else can probably explain it in a more technical manner.

I built a HyWay popup piston in a deburred 353 base gasket deleted cylinder 353. Went really good, just not quite as emotionally engaging as my MMWS346.
Work mate who has it now loves it.

I ran a one saw plan for 20 plus years. A two saw plan after I purchased a well used super ez to go with pulan 4000. Been thru a few more 60cc saws and turned 70. Now my plan is my pulan with 20 and 24" along with echo 4910(next saw). I have a 357/59(stays home)and a cs590 echo that runs well along with a homie410 long bar(needs attention). About only big stuff anymore is soft maple that homie would handle but they are getting fewer as time goes by. I love cutting with my pulan. Right under handle it says "MADE IN USA" and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing it's almost 40yrs old and still rocking the wood.

Just like the title says, how many saws do you have in your 3 saw plan? I'm at 7; details follow.

1. 020 AV with 16" bar and 1/4" chain.

2. 020 Super Top Handle, 12" bar and 1/4".

3. 026 Pro with muff mod, BG delete, 18" 3/8".

4. 036 Pro with muff mod, 20" 3/8".

5. 044 slant fin/10mm with muff mod, BG delete, 24" 3/8".

6. 064/066 (still looking for one), 28", 3/8".

7. 076 Super, 36", .404".

Got the 026, 036, and 044 out today to stretch their legs. I ran out of stuff to cut down and cut up, so I helped my neighbor buck and split some larger trees that came down in the last storm. Dude has a Husky 440 (41cc homeowner saw) with a 18" bar, and it's taking him forever.

He was happy to have some help, and I was happy to get some exercise and make some chips. It was also my first time running my 036 Pro, and I was pleasantly surprised. It can't hang with the 044, but it's got some balls.

I like a 500i, good power to weight
I'm in love. Love both brands, with Husky being my favorite and most of what I own
But the 500i I had to give credit where it's due. I have a 461 at work was going to buy one. Got a 500i instead. I've always been won over by the 046 460 platform
But this 500 is legit. It's my go too saw everyday user and the easiest on me. When I get the 572 I'm sure I will love it too. My plan is for the 500 and 572 to be daily use, and all day runners.

My three saw plan?
See my signature!

On a serious note.
For any odd job I tend to grab my:
PS-550
PS-6400
PS-7310
Great plan! May I ask, why do you so concentrated on Dolmar's saws? Didn't you try to find some decent alternatives from other brands? I mean Saw Stop or standard Makita or Bosch(source)

This is my idea of a 3 Saw plan:
Stihl 024 with Exhaust and base gasket modification.
Stihl 026 Ported by Doc and with my own intake modification.
Stihl 044/46 Hybrid by Doc.
And then there are the other saws, but these are my favorites IMG_20220329_152514_414.jpg
