Morning everybody.
I read yesterday that GM and Ford are in the process of merging with Ford being the senior partner. In a way, it makes sense. The Mustang and Camaro share the same automatic transmission. Ford is coming out with an electric F150 and the Silverado is supposedly sharing the same platform.
But then, you can't believe everything you read nowadays.
Time will tell.

Why would Ford want take on GM debt.
And the trucks were supposed to share the same transmission to but Ford broke that deal off for some reason.

I have no answer for that, Wayne.
Who knows what goes on behind closed board room doors and for what reasons .

Yeah from the looks of the new Fords and Chevy it looks like the board room is out for lunch. On another planet.
I think the 2018 Ford F3 50 is possibly the best looking truck I’ve seen in 40 years.

Can’t say the same for the new Chevy grill. I’m really not sure what they were thinking when they did that.
2017 Chevy‘s were very nice looking truck when dressed up properly.

I like my 17 F250 front end better than any of them. They do cost way too much regardless what brand. I was always able to get a better deal on Dodge but the Ford dealer really hooked me up this time

With all that fake chrome and those weird led light?

That new Chevy grill is the dumbest *f-wording thing I've ever seen.

Coworker just got a black on black on black 17 Silverado it does look nicer that I thought it would.

Meh, they all cost to much.
Thats an understatement! My buddy works for the city. They get v6 F150s reg cab long beds for $14000 ish. Now why they hell can we get them that cheap. And there only buying 3 at a time its not like a huge volume discount thing.

I'm looking at new ones right now.
Could someone tell me again why I need a diesel?
Seriously thinking gas at this point. I just can't see how the extra $10,000 will ever be worth it..
I just don't put that many miles on the things. Bout 10,000 miles a year.
And I liked Lisa's chevy HD gasser. had good power.

You don't. Like 90% of those that have them.

I am a diesel fan, but I could never justify the cost of buying a new one. You would have to be doing heavy pulls, and lots of miles to ever pay for the difference in vehicle cost, plus the extra cost of fuel, and maintenance.
This is just my opinion... and I have 3 diesels... but two are old ones, and the Sprinter is... well, a Sprinter (09).

Honestly, I used to haul trailer loads of calves to the stockyards with an 89 F150.. 6 cylinder!!

It wasn't an awesome experience, but got the job done.
The new gas motors are WAY better than that old POS ever dreamt of being.
