Good morning, gentlemen.
This has been a productive week, and it's back outside for me today. Meeting with an accountant at 1 to discuss tax stuff for my business, fixing some things at Emerson's former day care, I'm their official volunteer handyman, and boy do they have a list.

I wanna spend some time using my new Fiskars 8 lb. splitting axe, with a nice wide sledge head. That, coupled with a new wood grenade wedge, will allow me to split up the tough stuff, of which I have a fair bit. That big maple sidewalk buster has some grain twist, making the big ones tough to split. I ended uptaking eight feet off the long log because there just wasn't enough there to justify making one 22 foot beam. Tough to split, those big ones. This is what keeps a 58 yr old going, though.
