Odered new window seals for Bumblebee. Sitting in St. Louis right now. Supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
Last week son ordered new radiator for his Bronco.
Went from Ohio to Memphis to Sacramento to Kansas City to Springfield before it made it to our house.
Go figure.

This was on top of all the tree damage and extended power outage from last week. 70 mph winds. Mostly southwest of downtown KC.

@pdqdl is prolly busy.

The Stihl 037 story as related to me by Ben:

Fellow had paperwork showing Stihl made three prototype '037' saws. Ben gave him $500 for it. Another fellow offered to buy it from Ben a couple days later. Ben shot from the hip and said $1150. Guy offered cash or check. Ben took the cash. [emoji15]

Ben has pics on his old digital camera we need to download.

I never got to see it, much less touch it.[emoji22]

Well you didn't miss that much in that town.
Drove across the south side of kc on the way.
All the exits off 435 were closed..
Water over the interstate.

Forgive me but what happened in Kansas City?
It rained. Due to poor urban planning of infrastructure items such as storm drainage, in KC rain is generally occasion for a crisis due to water covering roads and entering buildings. Fairly predictable outcome for Kansas City.

I ordered a tachometer today! I'd been trying to find my old DTI 20K for a couple of weeks, and I have saws that need to be tuned, trees to be leveled, and general waste to be laid. Yee haw

So what your saying is don't build in the flood plain of water ways lol. It truly kills me some time when stuff is built on water way buffer land the when its flooded people act surprised.

A lot of the creeks in KC had been lined with concrete back in the days of Pendergast.

Guarantees the water to run off quick.

Well, I can understand building a town on a river, but it really pays to remember that rains runs to the nearest river, and that that process involves the movement of water, which should be anticipated and planned for accordingly..
