Timing? Flywheel key?

+1. [emoji848]

Actually it isn't a problem keeping a flywheel lined up without the key as many have claimed on this forum.

It's the stress of pull starting that can actually shear the crank and/or the flywheel.

Happened to me twice. Most recently on Farmertec 361.

Hey fellas. Got a question about the husky weedeater I got a few weeks ago. Ran great. Worked it hard for about 2-3 hrs, put it up. Went to get it back out a couple days later and no start. So today new plug, cleaned carb, cleaned flywheel, it either back fires out the muffler or the carb depending on where the throttle position is. Still lean on fuel you think? Coil? I know I got it a touch on the warm side. Oh and I removed the spark screen as well and it is clean. Carb screws are 1.5 rnds out. Got any ideas? Thnks.

If the piston looks ok,
Suspect the coil.

Well, it looks like 2 new exhaust manifolds and a new upgraded set of up pipes for the 7.3 + labor (to fix the leaks killing my drive pressure/air flow and making for hot EGTs) is going to be between $1-1.7K depending on how many bolts break off and require drilling/tapping prior to replacement... This F.or O.bnoxiously R.ich D.rivers is turning into a hell of a money pit...

Well when I went to pull start it it took more force than usual. Then it went to normal again after 2-3 pulls. But I think it was partially hydrolocked, but not sure how it could have been it had just been sitting.

Morning Gentlemen!

Was it on this thread I saw someone soak a bar in a vinegar mix to remove rust?

Why are you needing to replace the manifolds? We just surface them. You can buy a gasket set with new bolts off eBay. I did mine for less than $150. Broken bolts aren't bad to get out, just weld a washer then a nut to the washer of the broken bolt, they'll come right out

They all look interesting, for sure.
The Massey Ferguson looks to be an ash trey saw. Not many of those around.
