What's better is watching the kids you trained surpass you as they don't have the years and miles to tell management to go pound sand with dumb ideas and because they're better at being unit cheerleaders than workers...

Son's been disassembling the Bronco engine. Getting everything out of the way in order to pull the engine. So, all is out of the way now. Upper intake is off, turbo's out and such. Just the engine now. He puts a ratchet on the balancer and it turns over. Comes and gets me. (Don't know why, he's the expert now). He noticed the inside of the intake is wet with fuel. Pulled the plugs. Bank 2 plugs are soaked with fuel. We're suspecting hydrolock from fuel. Question is why? He's going to try and borrow a cylinder scope from a guy at work so we can make sure the cylinders are in good shape still. He may still tare it down to be sure. But, I'm thinking it's ok internally. He's in a better mood anyway.

Just remember.
The new owners just want to make a buck.
That's sorta why they bought the place.
So if he can make money for them, he'll be just fine.

That's what his mother and I told him. It's not in the best interests of the new owners to come in and let everybody go. They are in it to make a profit and they already have an experienced crew in place. They're not going to upset the apple cart. I honestly would be surprised if he wasn't one of their top producers in the shop. But then, I'm a little biased.

I bought this thing for 200 bucks
Yesterday, I have to trailer it home.
It has a broken ignition Switch.
It has a few other little issues. I have 90% Of the parts to fix it. I also have an angry
358 on an engine stand that would
Be pretty funny under its stock unmolested hood. But if I get it running
Stock I might have someone give me more than its worth. ....
And that's cool too, I have turned
A bunch of cars over for $$$

Cassette player?

Quite a long time ago my cousin's boys in Michigan had an old trade in Buick Skylark 4 dr from the local dealer. Pulled out the small block and dropped in a 455. Made one heck of a sleeper. Made quite a bit of cash street racing until the word got around Saginaw and Bay City.

When I was 18 I bought a 71 Buick Gran Sport (skylark with a hood scoop) it was gutless with the wore out 350 in it, so I bought an Electra with a 455 in it. Engine mounts wouldn't swap,so I took the frame mounts out of the Electra and bolted to engine and trans and just welded it in (only had 5or600 in both cars) and with L60's on it (I think that's a 275/60) proceeded to do burnouts for a few days. Then one day my neighbor called me and told me that the Sheriff's Dept were parked on the next block staking me out! If he hadn't called me I'm sure I would have gotten caught, cause I still had 4-5 burnouts worth of tread left! So I just idled right around the block right up to him and he was peeved asked who told me and then proceeded to tell me how lucky I was I just smiled and found somewhere else to do burnouts. Man I was silly when I was 18!!! Thanks for your post, I had forgotten about that car....

Excellent candidate for a 6 liter and a eBay turbo, it's what all the kids are doing these days. I got the 6 liter ...
