Good morning all.
Back to work on the barker saw. Maybe by end of day or tomorrow will be able to fire it up.
Hope the bar cleans up and chain ,really need a better one but it's 7/16 chain. O And the rain can stop.

Drop the bar in 50/50 apple cider vinegar and water for about 3 days.

Is that just foam? Looks very similar to our rc car filters. Put it in a Ziploc bag with warm water and dishsoap and massage it around. Repeat until no more dirt comes out then soak overnight. If this is just foam, what are the dimensions?

Skinner ribbon element filter.

I wouldn't use real strong solvent.

Mineral spirits suits me.[emoji106]

Son's been disassembling the Bronco engine. Getting everything out of the way in order to pull the engine. So, all is out of the way now. Upper intake is off, turbo's out and such. Just the engine now. He puts a ratchet on the balancer and it turns over. Comes and gets me. (Don't know why, he's the expert now). He noticed the inside of the intake is wet with fuel. Pulled the plugs. Bank 2 plugs are soaked with fuel. We're suspecting hydrolock from fuel. Question is why? He's going to try and borrow a cylinder scope from a guy at work so we can make sure the cylinders are in good shape still. He may still tare it down to be sure. But, I'm thinking it's ok internally. He's in a better mood anyway.

Hooray!! I was thinking that just because of the fuel delivery problems you were having before. Maybe something came lose and just started dumping fuel?

Possibly a hung injector. But new injectors. It's still a possibility, though.
On another note. At his work, today was D Day. The new company came through and talked to everybody as a group. Things are looking good. Nothing to worry about, at least from his point. Tomorrow new management is going to go around and visit individually while they work.

Hope it all turns out well! One thing I like about my job is its family owned so they have at least a little compassion and having dimwitted coworkers helps too.
