Bar off one of my 'C type' Homies fit.

We had it almost running but fuel started dripping from the carb.

New lines and carb clean next.

31# 5oz. Couple pounds shy of a Logmaster.

I've got two for it. Normally it wears a 28 inch with 3/8 chain. For bigger stuff I have a 36 inch with 404. I still haven't found her limits, either. Just started on the 4th tank of gas, too.

Why .404 over .375 ?

Clinton uses Tilly HC. A separate fuel pump between tank and carb.

Got it to run for several minutes.[emoji106]
The metering diaphragm is stiff so I left the fuel shut off, primed it by bottle and zip tied the trigger. When it began to run I opened the fuel petcock. Found a sweet spot where the throttle was open far enuff but not flood completely out.
Yikes it's loud!

Figure a pump would be a smart spare to have.

Why .404 over .375 ?

The big bar I got is 404 tip. I thought about changing the tip to 3/8 but figured a new tip would be more expensive than a new rim.

does .404 hurt performance any? If not I'd just start using it on all my bars lol since the cutter is bigger

404 takes a little more power to pull. Less cutters on the same loop than 3/8". Wider kerf on bigger wood is nice to keep from pinching as fast.

I know I had the big bar buried in red oak that had been down for two years noodling it to get it into smaller more manageable chunks.
Didn't even phase it.

Shop today, the owner is happy
With the saw buying and pawning
Policy I came up with, all saws have to make 2 cuts in a cherry log I set outside
His shop. He had people that would
Prime a saw and fire it outside
And rip him off, no cutty = no money

Np. Glad you like it! I was gonna sell this other one I had and replace it with that soon to be awol ported 550 but I kind think I'm gonna hang on to it a bit longer as well! They just have a great balance and feel! One of my more favorite huskys in the collection so far! lol!
