A "honest" squish measurement of .014 should be fine on that saw; I've safely run as low as .012, that is measured by cranking the saw over with .030 solder in squish band, and bottom-end of saw good and tight. I might not chance it either with Chinese bearings.

I'll be in Viola Saturday, that's pretty close!
you should meet up with me. That's close. Lol. Also I'm going to bevel the edges around the ports and transfers then I'll check the squish on my saw. Might not even be the same as his haha

People bring by weed wackers and such but I send them packing (unless they are a close neighbor or it's a simple fix).

We do chainsaws Period!

So what appears in my driveway but a kid with a Craftsman blower. Only run on choke. Classic.

Sent him to Ace where he got it.

Is that what those are called?

I use them instead of 'C' clamps, they seem to have a lot of mechanical advantage.

It's the fine threads on 'em. Got a drawer full of 'em. Handy for weldin' stuff.

NICE! Haven't heard em used for that before! If I seen somebody using mine for C clamps I probably would have a few choice words to say....
