I find a strange double irony in your post. First, the treehuggers would blame the picture for the “climate change.” Second, there were hot spells in winter back nearly a century ago, when oil consumption was only a tenth of what it is now. Maybe there isn’t a strong correlation?

Everyone forgets the air superiority of the T-Rex and the use of fossil fuels that brought about the ice age.

Windy 68° now, been blowing all night long. Noodles drying on the cabinet to go with some leftover turkey for lunch. Bringing up some wood is included with today's chores for the cold spell we are getting ready to have.

Cut for about 6 hours Friday and 4 hours yesterday. Good times other than the warmer weather. Time to sharpen chains.

Speaking of chains; I have a chain near the end of it's life, I don't know how many tanks I have on that one chain, 6 maybe (on a 346), possibly more. And, it cut really well; nice chips, self feed, smooth, etc. I don't recall getting that many tanks out of one chain. Could probably get more tanks if I were just limbing.

Time to go worship my King...

Are you saying 6 tanks without sharpening? That’s pretty good.
Enjoy the church service.

When we were cutting up the pecan, I had 8 tanks through the 562 and the chain was still effective.. They can last if all ya cut is wood.
