Sun dog on the way in last night. Temps holding to mid 60's today and looks like highs in the 50's starting over the weekend. So far no rain here but when I took out the dog you could see lightning and hearing a bit of thunder now. Last day of work until December. KC next Tuesday and Tulsa the following Friday. Anything needed for relay let me know. McBee's brats will be visited on the return trip from KC.

I scored a 500 gallon fuel barrel with an “alleged “ working pump at an online auction today. I haven’t tried it yet.

I thought I was bidding on a 300 gallon barrel with pump. The screen refreshed on me so I ended up bidding on both. The 300 gallon brought $400, I only had to cough up $275 for my 500 gallon mistake. Lol.

I guess it’s true, the sun does shine on a dog’s azz every once in a while.

It had about 5 gallon of diesel in it, no chunks, water or discolored fuel ran out, just some smelly red diesel.

I put another 5 gallon of diesel in it & 5 gallon of gas to slosh around on the ride home.

No leaks so far, I built a cradle for it out of some old bridge planks.

Just need to get it placed & leveled up, then run some wires for an electrical outlet.

And then the expensive part, filling it up …

Another leave home at 4AM and get home around noon. Turned into a beautiful day although the wind is starting to kick-up now. Less than 3/4" of rain overall for me. Took my neighbor, ex-army, along for the ride and sent him home with a gallon bag of fish fillets. He needed the morning of getting out to relax. Talked about how he doesn't sleep well, PTSD and other stuff left over from serving. Never goes anywhere without a gun. I'll try to get him out more now that he is self employed.

I managed to run into a saw to fix here in Mexico. It is a Kawashima MK5620.
Someone put a new primer bulb on it and hooked the fuel lines up backwards. One of them was kinked as well.
I was able to find a little spring and wrapped it around the line to keep it from kicking. Hopefully it will run again.
Parts seem to be hard to find down here, so you just have to take what you have and make it work somehow.

The saw has good spark, but I cannot get it to so much as pop. I don't know how good the fuel is that he gave me, and the compression isn't anything to write home about.

Sort of reminds me of a Husqvarna.
Sort of.
Sitting at the Stamp now. Brought down the siding and roof material. All steel.
We'll swing by tomorrow after auction time and help you unload.......if you haven't already done that.
Oh yeah, and be careful not to get the van stuck.....it's really wet around here.

Morning all, starting the day at 51° at 3:20 with a high of 53°. Fed the girls last night in the dark so I can take the boy out for a little speed beef hunting this morning. Got some car fixin' to do when parts show up over the next couple of days. Days are already getting packed with what needs to be done in the up coming week.
