Rolled in tonight & no dogs came meet me, then they came half way across the drive & retreated. The lab was bouncing like she was on springs.

They had a couple of garbage pandas up a power pole in the yard.

Now the garbage pandas are chew toys.

Quite comical to watch that lab try to catch a falling garbage panda.

Got some light rain drizzle at the field this morning so the last 40 acres will have to wait.

Dad is hell bent on selling calves so that rodeo will transpire this morning.

No rain here at the house, I can hear a dozer hammering away on some terraces.

Talked to dad tonight about surface plates at the plant. The one he used was a 5x5 and several others were 4x8 and at least one 10 foot one as well. Those larger ones were 1' thick as well. They had some of the smaller ones for smaller parts, both pink and gray granite.

Finished up the fall harvest, 4000 acres in books. Just a lot of clean up do now.

Sorted off 55 of Dad & my brothers calves & a couple of cull cows for McDonald’s.

Thinking they will average about 550#, my brother thinks 490#.



They went over to Humeston to the sale barn. My brothers high school class mate is an auctioneer & he bought it.

Morning all, 46° at 3:45 and guessers are saying rain tomorrow and Friday. Work messed up and didn't put in my paid option for last Friday and asked if I wanted to just use it this Friday instead. Keeps them from having to do extra paperwork and I get a 4 day work week before vacation. Checked last night to verify it was a sure thing for Friday, told them that there is no signal on Stockton lake so it would do them no good to call. Fish don't get any wetter anyway. Anyone want a boat ride Friday, I launch at 5:30.
