Rained like mad around here today.....no clue how much, but stuffs good and soggy.

Gauge is sitting on 2.5" for last two days. Got caught in the rain at last stop today. Pickup at a business that has one section of guttering missing and it is over the door where I had to walk in and out about a dozen times.

Color was peaking at the cabin last weekend. Too bad it turns to just one color in a few weeks.

I was pruning a big cedar for my mother today & saw a couple carpenter bees floating around a couple of limbs.



Not destructive, they say, only go after untreated sawn lumber, they say.

BS, I say.

I have never seen them in living trees before or dead trees either.

Maybe I have just lived a sheltered life.
