Got the mulberry bucked up & hauled home.

Found a dead elm & cut it up as well.

Cut up a cherry top that was busted off, I’ll get 8’ trunk section later.
IMG_1531.jpeg

Got all of the ash I had down bucked up & took down 5 more than need bucked yet.

Lots of dead/dying ash around here.

Morning all. 61° right now and waiting for this rain that has passed to the south to hit. Last night I watched the radar and it was passing between Matt's and my place. Guessers are calling for possible flooding in the area but it won't happen like this.

Good morning folks.
Anyone else planning on some grilling this weekend?
My brother is putting on a pre-harvest game feed Sunday evening, lots of frying of walleye, pheasant, yard bird strips & something else.

They may grill some hot dogs but I don’t know.

I may grill a steak or 3 as well over the weekend if I have the time & ambition.

This 8-14 day outlook is very appealing to me.
50% chance of below normal temps, does that mean there is a 50% chance of normal temps & a 50% chance of above normal temps??? We are dealing with the prognosticators at the NWS after all …

Home grown is not necessarily low quality.
Right.
I was referring to the lower priced junk I'm willing to afford at the grocery store, no way I'm gonna pay grocery store prices for fancy steaks.
Home grown is the only way I've ever had the better cuts.

I think I will get a couple of Akaushi for a tax write off. Not really for just that purpose but I have been thinking of breeding down a generation or two with Angus to hit a marbling point that we can use it for every day beef. Never had wagyu before so it should be an adventure when I get around to doing it.

I would really like to get these 2 but not matter how they are sliced, they will end up in the creek & I am not pricking around trying to get them out.
