Strange that people won't fish close to camping and play beaches for some reason. I puttered around with the trolling motor looking for brush piles within a certain depth of water. I should have counted how many we threw back compared to keepers. Interesting thing is that very few white crappie lately. Nephew was on one of the net counts earlier this year and the ratio was 80/20 whites to blacks.

I guess one of our tenets had a small problem with one of their pivots. Luckly they got right on it, got a bunch of dirt (sandy) and new pad and are back in business. Not sure what this is going to cost, and I'm guessing it will be us paying, but glad he took charge and got it taken care of ASAP.View attachment 466062

Not great at this so hope it works.

We've had a bit cooler overnights for the last several, with lows in the mid to upper 50f's. However with air quality between 160 and 185 (wildfire smoke from north of the boarder) during that period windows have remained closed and the hepa has been running continuous.
It's currently 100 +/- 10 and claiming to drop a bit more within the next 24.

Only seemly good think is the garden seems to like all the extra CO2 as it's going gangbuster for the time being. Lots of tomatoes, peppers and a few cukes.

That’s quite a crater. How many loads did it require to fill that in ?

I haven't heard much beyond they were hauling in dirt and planning on pouring a new slab the next day. Maybe my brother will fill me in next time I see him or when the bills start coming in. Tenant was going to try insurance first. Guessing all the sand, Wheeler County, Nebraska, did not help with how much dirt was removed.

Morning all. 62° right now and waiting on heater core. One I ordered was supposed to fit but lacks the proper top plate. OE is over $200 so putting in all aluminum instead of plastic tank one. Only 4 days of the official grind this week, taking off Friday only they don't know it yet. Vacation the next week so hopefully this mess will be back together before then. Dash plastic is brittle from heat and age so going back together with some JB and fingers crossed.

That don't look like fun....I hate wrenching on newer stuff.

Good morning crew!
61/85 & sunny, with a high chance of septic installation.
