I can’t help you with personal experience. I try to avoid Des Moines metro as much as possible.

My sister in law, who is a food snob, claims Smokey D’s is hands down the best in the DSM metro area.

My sister used to live in Waukee & was unimpressed with Jethros.

We will be awaiting a review after your visit.

@Hinerman decided to make an apple/blueberry crisp this morning. Added a bit of homemade vanilla just for good measure. Breakfast of champions. After a quick break from the tractor, back at it again. Hay to be hauled and other jobs to try to get done today.

More rain this morning, not sure if the thunder woke me up or the chainsaw sound simulator beside me woke me up.

Glad I left the window down in the pickup. The exterior door handle crapped out last night so I left the window down so I didn’t have to crawl in from the passenger side.

Three toed box turtle. I think the ornate box turtle also has patters on its belly as well.
