Dang....My brother was out scouting some of his beans & they had some serious cupping going on, looked like Dicamba damage.
A fella called him while he was out in the field telling him that they had a drone crew from Kansas spray a bunch of pasture for trees a couple weeks ago & several neighbors were reporting dead & heavily damaged beans.
The drones were putting on Tordon 22k & it drifted & traveled, apparently there are around 1000 acres of dead or heavily damaged beans in that area.
Hope that business has good insurance…
i consider myself pretty decent welder but i havent had much luck welding that before. i would suggest to replace the broken ones. if you wanted to try preheat whole tine to 350-400 then weld it with 7018 and then post heat back to the 350-400 cooling down 50* every 30 mins until ambient temp. if you do that and it doesn't crack at the weld it should hold. also while cooling if you peen it where welding it should help it keep from cracking. or if you have a ton of dry silica sand heat it up post weld and bury it to allow it to slowly cool.Anybody know stuff about welding spring steel?

Happy 4th. Blackberry cobbler time. Getting ready to head to the folks to start on ice cream. Count your fingers now and tonight.
Sam's been "plowing" the universe down here, hence the busted tines.....poor kid, thinks he's a farmer. Is Tom contemplating plowing something down there?
You got a spot with some decent topsoil?
All that hog ‘nure will help things growSam's been "plowing" the universe down here, hence the busted tines.....poor kid, thinks he's a farmer.
Pretty much less that zero actual dirt here.... just flint, limestone, and goopy red clay.
The stupid downpours keep washing away all our manure & compost......it makes me really mad....... why can't it just rain calmly over several days at a time?.......All that hog ‘nure will help things grow
