This afternoon I get to play around & take out some bigger cedars & other misc. trees. It might be a bit chilly @ 40* with nw winds up to 25mph.

I was hoping we would have it for a few days but it sounds like we just have it for a day or so & with harvest its the wrong time of year to have a significant amount of time with it.

I appreciate the offer but I’ll keep this, this weather keeps the insects at bay & I don’t like leaking coolant.

Having my coffee & enjoying the remnants of last nights fire. I believe I will wait for the outside temps to climb above the freezing mark before firing up the mini to finish taking out trees.

Mini-excavators are handy. I wood like to try my hand at using a mini-gun to take down some trees tho. Guess I need to decide what caliber wood be the most fun. :para:

Depends on your rate of fire & size of the tree. 5.56 - 7.62 - .50 should do nicely, just like a nice 3 saw setup.

My uncle used to go to the woods and shoot down a Christmas tree every year....his weapon of choice was a 12ga with bird shot.
One of my first deer hunts with my dad at the prized location, ended with us getting a tree that was Dad marked about 90 yards away and handed me his 8MM mouser bolt action. I got one shot, thought I missed, dad said not the case. About half way to walking to the tree a slight breeze blew it over. Dad said it appeared to be a clean hit with the tree dropping a bit with the shot. Yep that was our x-mas tree that year. I was 13 or 14 at the time.
