I concur with the others on the cherries, they look like pie cherries. I have ate & picked thousands of them, mother always had 2-3 of those trees when I was youngster.

You are probably thinking of montmorency style of pie cherry. They are gone in this area by mid-june as well as the sweet varieties. Used to have those but they died out one year.

Good morning weather watchers and cherry pickers. The best cherries I ever had were in Montana; they were sold at road side stands during harvest season. Multiple varieties, all amazing. I did not know such things existed. We could not get enough of them.

Morning Midlanders!

Raining again. 😏

This has been the wettest July & August i can recollect.

Normally by this date one has to crawl around on hands and knees to find green in the lawn. 😵‍💫

Same for out here. We got another .35" last night. We did have a pretty wet year 5, or 6, years ago, but before that, I don't remember a year with this much rain.

I'm mowing every 4 or 5 days because I have to. Normally, I could go a couple weeks without mowing this time of year.

Got a couple of oldies out to get ready for the Baraboo WI Steam show. A couple of file rubs and fresh gas and started within 3 pulls.

The weather's being obnoxious again.... power's out..... another 1" + of rain in the last half hour. I'm really done with this summer.

If we don't get blown away we'll go out and hook up the generator shortly.

Sheesh, and I thought we had a lot of power outages.
