Afternoon y'all.

It's humid this afternoon.... good grief.

Got a late start because Tom had to go to jury duty screening this morning..... they rejected him....

We got that much done before wimping out for the day.....






Got some interesting "geologic formations" in the sawdust pile from the storm the other day.....

I'd complain about the heat and humidity, but I know it's worse elsewhere. Lol. I'm still enjoying the AC regardless.

.30” rain this afternoon, now it’s sunny & 86*. I had to swim thru the humidity to get to the mailbox.

Yuck.....it's 95 here and upwards of 70% humidity.

What do you do with all of that sawdust?

Some of it gets used in the chicken coop, some goes into the compost, but most of it goes in the burn pile with the bulk of the mill scraps.
Every few days we have a dandy bonfire.

0.39" rain this afternoon and currently 85f. Just a little humid to say the least. Hope to finish up on the honey locust in the morning.

As a side note, what do people recommend for trying to get a handle on out of control weeds. Would like to keep what grass is out there, if possible.

GrazonNext works great on broadleafs & small trees. It won’t kill the grass unless it’s mixed to hot. It’s what most folks use around here for pastures & fences. It’s not as volatile as straight 2-4-d

I am using Duracor. Concentrated and will kill multiflora rose and trees as well, especially hedge apple. Pasture ready and will not kill grass. Using 5.5 to 8 oz per 15 gallon for the spot spraying I am doing now. I can try to get some pictures in the morning for you.

Morning everybody.
Stopped by the house last evening to pick up the mail. There was a worker putting up new siding on the east end of the house. The garage door was open and I saw a new attic fan sitting in there along with a load of new trim and all the interior doors. Couple of days ago the ceiling and walls had been textured, still waiting to be painted. I was standing in the kitchen, looking out the French doors into the back yard, when I realized I was looking through new French doors that was installed yesterday. There really is a light at the end of this tunnel and it’s not a train.

Sam is so big, he can make a 20lb salmon look like a fish stick..
Some of you all have met him at random functions before.

Going to install the door from the kitchen to the garage this morning and trim out the overhead garage door, too.
