Morning folks it was 45 when I initially got up going to low 70's at the out of town place. Came up for some relaxation (isn't happening) and to do some gardening and adding pepper plants, that got big enuf that they have peppers golf ball size on them.
It's a bit dry but not parched, and I do have the means to irrigate out of the pond out front, with the help of a good 1.5hp pump.

Hey guys, posted this on the poulan thread but seems that site may have dried up. So decided to post it here on a live site. Hopefully someone can help this OF.
Got a 306a I can sell if I can get it sorted out.
Got and rebuilt it in ‘12. Installed new seals at same time. Used it a few times then set it on the shelf since then. Rebuilt carb again in ‘19.
Got offer for saw recently and again wouldn’t start so again rebuilt the carb, a tillotson HS59a, with all new parts and replaced fuel lines and filter. Now it starts and runs like a scalded dog until I try to let it idle. Then it dies. Acts like it slowly runs out of fuel
Set H to 1-1/4 and L to 1; set throttle idle to
~1 turn after contacting throttle lever.
Saw compression is 120+
Noticed some fuel, very little like with reed valve spit back, in carb box..
What am I missing?
TIA, jerry

Nice day in the neighborhood. Thunderstorms have caught us up on moisture some.

Shane Hunter has been super busy with tree damage. Sold the 046 to him.

Another street tree down the block lost a large limb.

Drug out the Farmertec 066 to finish assembly and get it running.

*b-word is hurting my hand despite the compression release. 💩

Got tired of looking at hannah’s Crappy ladder..

So Levi and I grabbed some lumber from the scrap pile and made something the kids couldn’t tear up with a hammer.

It’s all old oak.

This Farmertec 066 won’t pass fuel at idle no matter how much I turn out the low speed jet. 🤬. POS!

And, the generic coil lacks the low speed spark retard the genuine Stihl coil has.

Drilled the comp release bleed port to 1/16”. Helped a tiny bit.

Maybe flip the reed petals over or check the reed block for cracks.

Good Friday folks. A beautiful cooler breezy morning at the out of town place. Low 50's going to 74, and then the guessers are claiming moisture events starting late afternoon. It's dry here, but not parched.
