Morning fellas. 56 when I got up. Almost feels like early spring out there.
70* & sunny here, supposed to hit 75*. I suppose it will be a good day to split some wood.Morning y'all.
Another lovely muggy day.
Don’t think so but will definitely checkJerry:
Pump side gasket & diaphragm in wrong order maybe?
They will run with vapor pressure in the fuel tank for a short time and then run out of fuel like.
Just checked. Gasket and diaphragm in correct order. Thanks for tipDon’t think so but will definitely check
Maybe flip the reed petals over or check the reed block for cracks.Hey guys, posted this on the poulan thread but seems that site may have dried up. So decided to post it here on a live site. Hopefully someone can help this OF.
Got a 306a I can sell if I can get it sorted out.
Got and rebuilt it in ‘12. Installed new seals at same time. Used it a few times then set it on the shelf since then. Rebuilt carb again in ‘19.
Got offer for saw recently and again wouldn’t start so again rebuilt the carb, a tillotson HS59a, with all new parts and replaced fuel lines and filter. Now it starts and runs like a scalded dog until I try to let it idle. Then it dies. Acts like it slowly runs out of fuel
Set H to 1-1/4 and L to 1; set throttle idle to
~1 turn after contacting throttle lever.
Saw compression is 120+
Noticed some fuel, very little like with reed valve spit back, in carb box..
What am I missing?
TIA, jerry
