Got the offending valve changed, New valve lapped in. Replaced all the valve guide seals, cleaned up the head and sanded all gasket surfaces. Head is ready to install now. Cleaned and sanded the block deck. It's ready. Replaced the lifter. Compared up the new push rod with an old one. Wrong push rod. .090 too short. My fault. Went back to get another on order. $2 push rod became $10 push rod. Mighty expensive .090. Glad I didn't have to replace all 16.

The 7900 put down a better time than the 064... We ran in sycamore.
Looks like I finally got its chain just right.
Met an ole boy with some real strong poulans too.
If he could sharpen a decent chain, he'd be dangerous.. Lol.
