I have been doing a lot of that lately, clearing Cedars, Mulberries, Walnuts & any other brushy thing along field borders & buffer strips.

Goobered up the coupling on the boom this morning & had to replace it, first one I have messed up with the puller on. They are only about $160 each… They get tweaked/bent/pinched just a bit then don’t release or the attachment couplings won’t fit or they just puke oil under pressure.

Yup, I’ve replaced both of them on the bobcat

Had a track come off about an hour ago, same one my brother had come off a couple days ago, either the tensioner is junk or something else is messed up.
This Deere has been useful but had lots of bugs since new, it’s out of warranty now so any service calls are going to add $ up quickly. The fan quit several times, the reverser on the fan never worked properly from the time he bought it, the hydraulics have had a few bugs also.
Apparently Deere knew they had problems because there were some service bulletins out about the hydraulics & fan reversers according to his buddy.
I tried to get my brother to buy a Kubota, Takachi (whatever they are called ) or an ASV (Terex) but Deere had the best finance options & his buddy was a Deere tech ( now he has started his own business).

The grandkids had fun this afternoon shooting 2 liters with Thunder Caps on them. The caps have needle fill valves like a basketball. They hold 100 PSI. Shoot them with an air rifle and they explode like a shotgun blast.

The replaceable teeth on the tip of the snout and the teeth on the outside of the jaws chop roots pretty good..

We couldn’t do too much with it yesterday due to the fact that there is nothing here but mud. Then we make a hell of a mess wherever we’re at.

More crawdad mounds in the yard now..

If I knew you were running though Miami, I would have told you to jump in the boat. And Sonic kinda sucks and is too expensive anymore, not that stopping in Seneca has a lot to offer.

I was telling Levi about you catching paddlefish on our way across the Neosho in Spring River yesterday.
Figured you were out there somewhere.
