I sharpened the blades on the mower and cut the grass yesterday...

Seems too early for that *s-word.. but there were areas that were overachieving out there.

I agree it’s far to early for that to be happening, things started greening up here rather quickly after the rains but I refuse to start mowing until the April 17, I always set May 1 as my target but never make it so I have backed off to mid April.

I am contemplating an electric fence & sheep or goats. Although I doubt an electric fence would keep either contained.

I have seen them mowing around here too; those purple weeds are taking off right now. Treat your yard for weeds and you could probably go a month longer without mowing.

Just uneven grass.. The purple flower infestation seems to be in the bean field mostly.

Need to spray that stuff in the fall to get a good kill. It’s becoming a nuisance around here, I remember seeing it around KC when I was a kid, it’s really started taking off around here the last few 5-6 years.

I saw one time if you run an electric fence with a couple of ground wires with the hot wires alternating it helps with sheep and others. It grounds them out easier. Now, with goats and fences, who knows. Matt's quote is probably the most accurate.

I’ve heard stories about my uncles electric fence form way back. Supposed to be running on 480v. They said it would just a 1’ arc no problems. Just had a light bulb to pull the amps down b4 the fence.

Ever rethink a plan in midstream?
Got some long 2x's, with cross pieces attached, for free except labor. Hung far enough to be counter balance back side of rear axle.
Sounded good in my head to stop by dump to collect assfelt chips to shovel in front of bed.
18 yo mind got laughed at by 70 yo bod.20220329_173651.jpg 20220329_173715.jpg 20220329_180215.jpg
At least the truck didn't get stuck. Way to much work at end of day to toss shovels of assfelt from rear to front over those boards.
Rain's predicted, hope so I could use some time off

We had 8 wires alternating hot and ground

I wouldn't give a goat the honor of eating one, although I did once at an African friend's party.

Only had it once in Haiti when i was there for 3 weeks building a church up in the mountains. Even tho they crushed all the bones and cooked it in with the meat it was a wonderful change of pace from chicken every meal. Didn't eat any chicken for two years after my return. Oh and don't miss any meetings while planning the trip. I got voted in as the foreman at the one meeting I missed.
