We had 1.10” rain last night, no wind or hail. My buddy 5 miles north had 1.75”, an aunt about 8 miles west had 2.50”, my folks 5 mile south had 1”. Much needed. It got the blackberries to turning a bit faster & I even found some 2nd or 3rd flush Raspberries this morning.

There looks to be quite a crop of wineberries as well this year. My late neighbor said they were brought over from Japan as a ground cover to help with erosion, they are very abundant but only decent to eat about every 3 years, either really tart or chuck full of seeds. I snagged a few this morning as well, they are almost fluorescent red when ripening. A few raspberry in with the wineberries.

Gooseberries where ridiculously heavy this year but the birds have pretty well cleaned them off, it’s a shame because I love me some gooseberry pie.

Crank seals for the Partner powerhead and the Echo chainsaw arrived in KCK. [emoji1696]

Be busy Monday maybe.

Partner guide bar is 5/16” narrower than an Oregon Pro Lite. Slim fellow.

I make my dad one every year for fathers day. Been doing it for I don't know how many years.

Picked up another toy/project today. An old Onan RV generator. I've got a couple already, as backup, and really enjoy their simplicity.
They run at half the speed of a conventional one, hence they are a lot quieter. Being for an RV they are set up for 110v but you can rewire them easily to run 220v, too.
:)

Why kind of output are they on 220?

We are getting dry here! Everything needs a drink.

We got another .38” this afternoon, water is actually moving in the creek by the house.

Approaching 3",as it is still landing, over last 30 hours. Been falling for last 10 hours. @Hedgerow we may be catching up in this area with y’all the other side of bthe state. Unless you've not kept us up to date?

As far as watts are concerned they stay the same. This one is 4000 watts, so it will be 4000 at 110 or 220. Amperage is one half when you step up the voltage.
Amps = watts divided by volts.
4000watts ÷ 110volts = 36.6 amps.
4000watts ÷ 220volts = 18.1 amps.
I have a 6500 watt also that I can run my 220v mig welder with but the 4000 is too small to run it.
You can never go too big on a generator but you can be too small.

Had a wave move through last night..
1.1” in 30 minutes.. it was a heavy one, but the dirt handled it ok. No standing water this morning.

I’d like to get a 25kw pto generator for my tractor for backup power
