Priced all 5 of our properties yesterday,
As high as building cost has skyrocketed they may sell .

1 personal home
4 rental properties

500K

A friend is selling her home and 40 acres, we would buy it if ours sells , beautiful hardwoods, white oak , water oaks, red oaks ..
She just can't take care of it all anymore..

The shipping lanes in Egypt are still blocked, you better price it at $250 for the extra mileage cost. Amazing how something that doesn't affect products shipping in the lower 48 can drive up the price on everything.

McGirt vs. Oklahoma, TL;DR

Who won?

The scumbag McGirt won. The Supreme Court ruled that the state of OK did not have the right to prosecute McGirt because he committed his crimes on Native American Land (specifically the Creek Nation Territory); only the tribal court or federal court has the authority to prosecute. The funny thing is, the scumbag McGirt could be retried under the Creek Nation court and still be convicted, which he will be. He sexually abused his step granddaughter daily and is/was serving a 500 year sentence. The SC basically vacated his conviction with their decision.

The first few paragraphs give a summery but I’m sure the Oklahoma fellas can give a better summary

https://www.mcalesternews.com/oklah...cle_c04750de-efc9-5c5b-bc80-1ba15873fdf6.html

That is a good article to summarize. The McGirt case involved the Creek Nation Territory only. Basically the Supreme Court said the state cannot prosecute Native Americans committing crimes in the Creek Nation. Like the article said, there could be 4000 appeals from incarcerated criminals based on the McGirt decision. Imagine if only half of those convictions are vacated; or even 10 percent!!!!

Also, like the article said, the other Indian Territories in Oklahoma expect to follow suit. Also, like the article said, every Indian Nation in the USA could follow suit.

Here is a map of the tribal territories in OK. Imagine every incarcerated criminal with a fraction of indian blood appealing their conviction!!!!:

So can the Creek nation carry out punishment?
Like bury him with his head above ground and ride their horses over him?
Bet the SC would frown on that..
The Creek nation even have a jail?

It is my understanding the Creek nation can prosecute. The Creek Nation does have a district court, supreme court, and police department; so I assume they can carry out punishment. I have no idea what kind of punishment can be carried out. It will be interesting.

I doubt any of the Tribal Nations wanted this decision. I seriously doubt they are prepared to handle the repercussions.

Nope

You are right. I assumed they had a jail, but I can't find any evidence of one; they must use the county jail to incarcerate.

Does the state carry out the punishment?

Under federal statutes, 80% of time given has to be served...

So those choosing to go federal route could end up with much stiffer incarceration times ,

Hell state is turning them loose right n left ...

Rails on the deck o saurus finally complete..

Time for steps, longhorn cut outs , and landscaping..

There is over 400 oak boards in that bastard..
Will need to power wash and timber oil this spring..
Wraps 3 sides of the house.
