Dang elm trees get me going anymore! I get a shot once a month.
Maybe that’s what it is!
They’re starting to fluff..

Wonder what the old timers used to do about *s-word like this ??

I should ask the neighbor. He usually has good “historical perspective”. Being 90 this year.

They are nimble little *s-words.
577 I think?
And I thought they could be hauled in a pickup?
Don’t exactly remember their selling points.

Meet Dave..

100% red angus..

Quite possibly the ugliest steer I’ve ever brought home. But we will see what he’s like after 9 months of feed.. supposedly they have good carcass traits.

Right now, he’s just a big tub of guts with 4 legs..

Blind it. My cousins 4h steer ran through a fence and lost and eye. Didn't move much after that and was pretty damn good.

Pass..
Got all of those I could ever use. I been running some off colored critters through the feed lot to compare how they perform. So far, the simmental angus cross calves grow best, but we shall see if the carcass traits are noticeably different from any of the pure breds.

That was random...

Why in the hell would I blind a perfectly tame animal??
Trust me, if you feed em enough, they don't go anywhere too fast..
They pretty lazy...

Some of you all know I like to visit the casinos. Barbara even more than I.

Sometimes I shirk my duties as husband and care giver and sneak off to KC in the wee hours of the morning. Get back by six in case a grandkid needs hauled to school or whatever.

This morning’s adventure:

It was time to head back to Joetown.

I was on the way to the door and stopped at a bank of machines too give each one five spins at 90 cents each in case lightning would strike.

Got to the last one and it happened. Triggered four hundred free spins at $.90 each. [emoji2960][emoji15]

Hole Lee Chit! This will take an hour as they are slow to begin with.

Not twenty spins into the bonus when it triggers Seven Hundred more! [emoji857]

It did trigger more free spins but I lost track.

I sat there for over two hours watching the damn thing play by itself. 1300 or so free spins in total.

Hand pay plus W2 paperwork. Kansas got some.

Got home at 8:30. Blondie was still asleep. [emoji56]

That's awesome! I'm not a gambling man myself, not because of moral issues or anything like that, I'm just not the luckiest of guys, but I always root for those of you who do the gambling! Congrats Sir!

That's a nice chunk of "walking around town money", right there! My best friend is a Vietnam vet and that's what he always calls it when he comes into extra money and I think it sounds funny and it makes me chuckle, so I use that line whenever I can.
