But a MS170/180 is only worth $120 at best. Poulan 3314 is $119.95 at Wally World, new.

It's a fun little saw, starts easy has good power for size , we cut shooting lanes with it yesterday, its my ranger saw , while riding the trails

Yep..
Handy as a shirt pocket.. and you don’t have to treat them well.

Do you have anymore pics of the bark ? How does it smell ? The small glimpse of bark looks like Cherry & the heartwood looks to be going punky. I can’t dispute @plcnut or @Hinerman guesses. I have seen boxelder with reddish pink stains. I don’t have much experience with pines.
I don't have a pic of the bark readily available but can get one.
It doesn't have any noticable odor. I happened to pile it beside a pile of cherry and there's no resemblance. I kind of wish I'd waited to get the main trunk which was about 24 inches.

The vents on fuel and oil tank suck ,, install a good Sthil vent and works much better , they are fair saws after that.

Wouldn’t they already have “good stihl vents” being they are Stihl saws?

I’ve been getting saws ready for Iowa. And, putting them up on C’list for chuckles.

Latest was the Root after the big Poulan.

Next up will be the SL-5R Logmaster run check and a length of NOS 9/16” chain.

Nope , they use cheap one way rubber vents , get stuck open let dirt in .
Very cheaply made saw , non adjustable carb ect .

A few mods and they aren't bad at all
