Well putting a new head gasket on my cat skid steer before all this snow gets here. No reason for it to have failed. Both surfaces clean and flat. We will see how a new gasket does. Hope it holds.

Good evening y'all. Our forecast was 7-10" here in Wichita but it's looking like we'll top out at 3-5". 3 degrees was the high today so the furnace is really working hard. I wish I had a wood stove like my folks.

3044C ?

If so make sure you get the updated gasket and replace all the head bolts.

I believe they also have a revised torque spec and or sequence?

But I am sure you already new that.

Yes 3.4 t. It’s built by Mitsubishi. I’ve not been real impressed with it so far to be honest. I did get the newest head gasket but didn’t see anything about a revised torque spec. What are you showing for it? My book showed 87ftlbs +- 4ftlbs.

If memory serves me it was 120ftlbs, loosen, back up 120 again + 90*

But I would check with someone with access to the latest service bulletins.

Of course lube on bolts, washers threads as always. And a torque wrench that
has current calibration! That has kicked my arse in the past :BangHead:

I’ve got a nice snap on that is new with torque and angle built in. I’ll call cat tomorrow see what they show.
