Dad wanted the 488 bad , he bought a ms311 a few years back and hates that saw it's hard to start for him and after it's hot sometimes he can't get it started , he used the 488 yesterday and fell in love with it , so I let him keep 488 and i kept the ms311 , he's 80 and i don't know why he hates the 311 i kept it for 2 months and it runs perfectly,
At his age he doesn't need to be cutting large trees anymore so I'll keep 311 and cut anything large .
He was impressed how easy 488 starts , I always said Shindaiwa was some of the best equipment ever made back then
