Good evening fellas
It was a great saw..Yep. When I was a newb I bought an echo top handle. It lean seized after a few tanks. I took it back on more than one occasion but I guess they didn't know how to tune it either. I just kept running it until it wouldn't run anymore. They replaced the piston/cylinder, seals, and crank all under warranty. Then you got it and rode it hard for awhile,,,with a proper tune.

To me, it also depends on whether a saw is clamshell or split mag crankcase. Split mag crankcases + 2 ring pistons = pro saw to me. Split mag + single ring = mid grade. Clamshell + 1 ring = homeownerSingle ring pistons shout ‘homeowner saw’ in my book.
Evening all! Got to go ice skating with the kids at a friend's-son's Birthday party. It was actually fun, but it's a lot more cardio than I remember it being as a teenager...
Dolmar engineers would say otherwise..To me, it also depends on whether a saw is clamshell or split mag crankcase. Split mag crankcases + 2 ring pistons = pro saw to me. Split mag + single ring = mid grade. Clamshell + 1 ring = homeowner
Dolmar engineers would say otherwise..
7900 = single ring.
Stihl ms170 = 2 rings.
I prefer 1 ring.

Even if a saw comes with 2 rings, somehow the 650’s end up with 1 ring... lolnot to mention
242 /254/262/272/281/288/and every 3 series saw under the 385 (except EPA 372s ) one ring more better
They’re just a pump..
There’s no “secret ingredient “...
The Kung fu panda is right..
