Sun's been out for most of the day here.
Was a strange site to see.
Told my daughter I was never so tired of hearing thunder in my life.

IMG_0522.JPG Daughter came over today and between her and my son got the garden trellis put up and cleaned out the gutters on the house. Then she helped me put new leather on my old rocking chair.
My children, and my friends here, are a true blessing to me.

Cool rocker there Steve.

I rescued this one from a garage sale down the block.

As you can see there are no arms and it's a 'low rider'.
Next to a normal height chair.

I refinished, repaired the joints and had it re-caned as it was in ruff shape.
Later just used a solid seat as the cane job gave out.

'Sewing' or 'nursing' rocker some call it but IDK.

I found the rocker at a flea market up by Pomme de Terr lake last year. I'm not one on old chairs but this one sits really nice. And I like a good rocker. And it creeks nicely too. As you all know, sitting is my favorite position.

Wheat is taking a bath now.

Any luck?

Glad they've made it out.

Hope you're right.

Lightning like mad here now.
Yep. A day of driving trucks, 4-wheelers and walking in the mud, but I found them and brought them back. Made it about 1/2 mile but the vegetation was so bad/+ the rain that I couldn't see them for awhile...
