Must be a briggs?
Lol...

Of course...

Has it got spark? (I know, stupid question). If it doesn't sit under cover, check the carb float bowl. I bet it has water in it. They won't suck up water.

I know, I know already...

I'll have it running before Saturday.

Probably.

I hope.

Mine sucks water no problem...
Right into the engine..
It can even get full of water and freeze a solid chunk of ice to the spark plug.
All it takes is a rain and it's full.
The ice took a little while to get out.. Lol.
How that POS Honda knockoff is still running, I have no idea..

Wow. Ice. I can't top that one.

Checked spark. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Yes, it has spark.

Water in float bowl - check. Not much though. Still won't start. I suspect the large amount of rust in the bowl indicates this is not the first time for water in the float bowl so that will need a good cleaning before I go farther. Good Lord willing (and no more rain) I'll have it running tomorrow or Thursday.

On a positive note - the tail lights are nice and bright while it sits there - NOT running.

We had a few minutes tonight to work on the 211. We managed to re-install the engine, flywheel and clutch.

Awesome!!!

Matt, I forget but what engine is in your Kodiak or Topkick? Is it a 454 or a diesel? I may be selling my F-350 and if so will either be finding another 350-550 size truck or saying screw it and finding a flat bed (with hoist) grain truck which can be the new hauling/dragging wagon... I want a diesel though.

It's a 3116 cat.
6.6 liter diesel.
Only 210 hp.
But 520 lb of torque supposedly.
I'd debate that..
Lol.

Don't do anything special. Sometimes when my mouth opens stupid things come out. In all seriousness, we will be there whether there's cutting or not. I think it's pretty spectacular that you're able to put this together on such short notice. Don't worry about the minor stuff.

I have some 36" pine rounds that could be noodled. Be fun with a nice sharp chain on a 70-80cc'ish saw.

They're all an overpriced POS.
But the lower hp 3116 at least lasts and gets 11-12 mpg...
I don't even care about power any more.
Cheap+low fuel consumption+no fixing= what works for me. If I ever gotta fix it, I'll scrap it..
415000 miles and counting.

The 365 "special" is loaded with a square filed work chain.
Shall I bring it?

Please tell me you advanced the flywheel at least half a key width..

Sorry. :(

I've never been into one of these so I'm clueless as to what would work for it. Here's a thought - making the assumption we get it put together and running - I will probably have a couple of tools with me on Saturday. Would you be interested in taking a couple of minutes and showing Mason how that works?

He hears stuff from me all the time so having you give him your thoughts might really bring it all together for him. That way he could be part of the modification and see what it does first hand.
