Had a great time today with Cobey and Tabby. Picked up a gallon of VP 40:1 fuel from tractor supply, some nice pants in my size, (made by Omar the tent maker), then spent some time wandering Bass Pro. Talking and enjoying each other's company. It doesn't get any better.
Good times for sure, I wish I could
Have hung out longer but I guess
I didn't sleep good I was pooped out.
Would have liked to call Steve L.
(Sawnami) but I was lucky to get done
What i did, it's been hard to get away.
I didn't give him a proper heads up
Anyway.

Was running the 346xp today and as the bar started to get pinched I pulled it out of the cut. It was getting snug but didn't get stuck. The throttle won't work now; it just idles. It feels like it is stuck. Any ideas? This saw has a wonky throttle/trigger to begin with.

That's a common problem. Unfortunately it means the saw is almost at the end of its useful life. Send it to me and I will send you a good modern Poulan or Homelite in return. I don't want you to be without a good saw.

The throttle works now sorta, it will accelerate but won't decelerate now, I have to decelerate the throttle manually with a screwdriver with the top off. Something doesn't look right with the wire/spring.

The spring hooks back under over the top of accelerator rod.WP_20160226_22_13_37_Pro.jpg

Here we go. It still doesn't work. Look how the spring is sticking out directly to the left of the right brass rivet. I can take a clearer pic if needed.

Part of refurbing my splitter. Making a new/better hydraulic tank. Some of the parts came from Marc. Thanks buddy.
This will be better than the old tank, which was an old gas tank from the original hiway sign trailer.

Under the flat part of the carb.

That spring got messed up some how. Might need to give it another wrap around the shaft to add more tension.

The spring apears to be under the leaver? It should be over it.

This "fix it myself" project is over. I have messed up the spring trying to get it into the right position, even tried to wrap it around again for more tension. This saw is going to a shop or I am sending it to one of you guys to fix. I don't have the patience or the skills, which is why I have back up saws, and send out the broke ones. Fortunately, I seldom need any repairs. Thanks for your help and patience. We tried.

Can the spring be replaced? Or does the whole carb have to be replaced? Looks impossible to get a new spring on there without busting that brass rivet.
