How'd that piped XL12 turn out?
It's not even broke in. I Stsrted it and let it get up to temp a few times, put it on the shelf and got busy. We are expecting a baby boy in February so I have been BUSY! Baby has to have its own room right away you know.
After I found this 1050 at the flea market it is all I have thought about saw wise.
As soon as I get these few big oaks down... I'll video some cookie cutting with it.
The piped XL12 that is.

A neighbor has a pair of old pull-ons, IDK what model/vintage other than they're mag cased and decent sized. No idea about engine state, but likely not running and likely for a simple problem given the lack of care that he gives to small OPE... I'll probably pick them up in a few days.

On another note, a neighbor has a Red Oak that he lost in a flood that's over 100yrs old. The trunk would be beautiful milled. Oh, it's between 36-44" DBH... AND it's leaning into a creek with a monstrous canopy. It will be a chore just trying to get thee canopy for firewood and TBD on the trunk. There's probably 15-22' that could make straight lumber/cants. I wish I had a band mill or a swing blade to make some beautiful cabinet wood plus a skidder to land the darn thing...

I need 82 DL of .063 in full chisel if possible. Thanks so much fellas!

Also if anyone has a 32"- 36" bar for my 1050 I am looking. .063 preferably.

Think I got one of those. They are basically a D009 large husky mount with square chain adjuster holes right?

I'll look and see what I have for 404 063. I know I have a 100' roll of full skip chisel square grind... 82DL sounds like a 28" bar... I might have other stuff in the shop too. Will have to look...

I have the 404 chain in Oregon and Stihl. PM sent.
Doug, if/when you have a bit of time, could I get you to make a short video of that S.S.-S.E. going through some nasty crap? Dad and I are deciding between the HD and SE models and I'm really leaning towards sending the additional $1200 to get the SE from a capability and longevity perspective, but I've yet to see one taking really nasty knots or just big pieces.

No Nathan. The 1050 is huge compared to a UXL mount.

Will do. How nasty or big? The worst I have done was at Hedgerows last December. That dead dry elm looked straight but was full of knots.
