Standing at my workbench one evening last month a bug flew into my ear and proceeded to get stuck. I started slapping my ear but that only made him travel deeper into my ear canal. It was driving me nuts.
I ran into the house and had Blondie look if see could see it. By then it was against my eardrum and banging on it.[emoji37]
We jumped in the car and headed to the emergency room at the hospital. I pulled over twice as he was buzzing my eardrum. Then it felt like he got out. Continued to the hospital anyway just to make sure. We were sitting there waiting our turn when the bug commenced buzzing my ear again.[emoji21]
Suddenly it all stopped and a lady sitting near us said she saw the bug fly up toward the ceiling.
Waited and had the on call doctor take a look to make sure the bug was gone. Insect left behind some brown dust but had cleared out.
Brings reality to the expression 'bug in the ear'! Yikes!
