46° wind and rain all day from the looks of it.
......an inch or three.Morning everybody.
Everything is still in the same spot it was yesterday.
Watched the power crew clear up the no power problem at 3am. No idea how much rain happened but it’s muddy.
Brenda’s Passat TDI (CKRA) is a solid 40mpg regardless of driving city or interstate.Little diesels are kinda nice for the most part especially on mileage.
Depending on what route I take to work my Jetta (ALH, 5 speed, 254,xxx miles) will vary from 47.5 to 49. Trip to KC will be 47.5. This is in the Beetle my oldest drives(BEW, DSG automatic, 230,xxx miles) so 42.5 almost all the time.Brenda’s Passat TDI (CKRA) is a solid 40mpg regardless of driving city or interstate.
And that is computed by hand.
It’s a good beater car.
I can get mid 36 on the highway in my 13 2.5 Jetta 5spd. I looked at a few diesels but something about -20 and trying to leave work popped in my head.Depending on what route I take to work my Jetta (ALH, 5 speed, 254,xxx miles) will vary from 47.5 to 49. Those people make me laugh.I was in Lowe's yesterday wasting time. I was looking at the Husqy chainsaws. They had a 545 pro model, 460, 450, etc. A guy on the aisle says (unsolicited I might add), "Excuse me sir, are you looking to buy a chainsaw. I bought 4 of those Husqvarnas in the past 3 years and they are horrible; worst saws I have ever owned. This saw over here is the best saw I have ever owned. It cuts circles around those Husqy's your looking at." He was pointing to a Craftsman. I looked at him like he was an idiot and said, "I am not looking to buy but I will take your words under advisement if I do." He rambled on; I walked off so I didn't have to hear him talk anymore.
