Communicated with him a week or so ago, He is still battling his leg & not getting around well at all.

He was really wanting to go deer hunting, said he was working with the dnr trying to get special hunting permit.

Has some procedures coming up after the first of the year that will hopefully help him out significantly.

Hopefully he will check in before the end of the year.
Thanks JB for sharing the @hoskvarna update.

Nice day in the Joetown neighborhood.

Come April or May I plan on going ‘walkabout’ now that I’m not anchored to home. 🤞 Be nice to go visiting my ‘ner do well’ friends. Barbara’s name for the GTG bunch. 🤭

How hard is it to get on as a driver at UPS?
Depends on the area. I went almost 8 years as a part time worker before I was a driver. Now it can be as short as a year. If you luck into the outside hire slot you can walk into a full time job.
Most of the UPS drivers that deliver to us have grown a beard. Todd (great guy) has had to have surgery on both knees over the last couple of years.....and is close to being able to retire. Bouncing in and out of that truck all day ain't no easy job.
Been meaning to ask you if he has said anything to you about rural deferment. Several areas in some states now only deliver three days a week. Not a good deal for some folks waiting on medicine. Pickups for businesses are handled the same way. Currently there is a lawsuit in NC I believe over this. Our system is supposed to filter out the next day medicines and the like for delivery anyway but I personally know of several that got put in a trailer and not delivered on time. Kinda like the post office talking about not delivering to rural areas, numbers I saw were projecting the USPS not going to 70% of the country on certain days. All this in the guise of saving money of course.

That’s what is going on here, people are pissed. Our driver wasn’t to happy about it either.

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

I could understand a M-W-F but the schedule is ridiculous.

Nothing that I've heard about here. We get USPS 6 days a week, UPS 5 days, and FedEx 7 days a week.

Carl, I have an extra bedroom for you. You’re welcome to stay as long as you like. I have a few old saws I could use some help with.

Geezer’s Traveling Saw Shop Repair ???

UPS & USPS have a hard enough time trying to get parts to Carl in a timely manner. If he goes to floating around it will get real tough.

It looks like an old store front.

What’s the guys plans for it?
Idk....not sure he does either, he just knew he "needed" a shed built like that.
Sometimes it's gonna be a storage shed, other times an office, or a bunkhouse, or?.....

He lives outside Boise Idaho, and I think he just likes being able to have an idea of something to build and then just do it without permits & inspections.
Lately he's been talking about making an air b&b in a "little house on the prairie" theme, with a bunch of buildings modeled after buildings in the TV show.

Don't matter to me....whatever floats his boat....as long as he's willing to pay us we'll keep building stuff.

Thanks Jim. nice to be notice when I don't check in. Hopefully my mechanic helped you out and let me know if you need anything else.
He has been very helpful, thank you very much for the connection. 🙏

Just waiting to see what the owner wants to do.
