Just rolled in.....I believe I may have ruined a perfectly good possum on the way home.

Long day....but a very good day.....Tom and I really enjoyed the fellowship with good ol like minded folks.

Good morning folks.
The overnight stayed warn (still 69f) and got rather sticky 92% RH, and we didn't even get a dribble. We are lookin' at the middle 80's or better for most of the next several days.
Maybe I can get some more painting wrapped up, stuff could use a second coat, LOL . . .

Enjoyed myself yesterday immensely. Last to leave Matt and Lisa's last night just sitting around talking. Lucky its a short drive for me. Couldn't get that close to water without wetting a line yesterday. I enjoy the get togethers just to learn something. Several of the ones there had never seen a pawpaw and I had seen some seeds on one of the trees we were cutting, so I found a grove and we took a quick walk to check them out. Still green but will ripen in the next week or two I would imagine.

Went back through some older pictures to see if I had some better ones. Top ones are still green but bottom show the color changes as they ripen. Had to give it a couple days to finish if I remember correctly. They will turn more yellow and mottled.

Question for the wood workers...

A. Has anyone seen a floor like this?
B. How does installation such a floor work?

It doesn’t seem like it would stay level with all that is going on there..

That looks interesting & like a time consuming installation.

I concur the sustained level of the surface would be a problem.

Looks like a pia to clean as well.

There’s still a few hiding way at the back of the grove.
Bub and Shem will pick em out tomorrow, then start making burn piles from the tops and root balls.
That's a fine jag of logs.....not a bad days work for a bunch of lazy hillbillies.

Barney was down there when I went to check on things. He was still crowing about how fast everyone was at dissecting those trees..

Said he’d just shut his truck off and listen to all those saws running from all directions..
