When you kill in the hot weather, how do you chill it down?
Quarter em and toss em in the freezer overnight.
Probably not the best method, but it works.

A really cold refrigerator is better, but we're low on extra fridges at the moment

The kids are just finishing up cutting in the kitchen now.

Makes sense..

Meat grinds and cuts better if it’s almost frozen anyway..

Had a new experience today. Helped my Brother in Law put sandbags around his office and some of the neighbors. A community effort filling and distributing bags to combat the Cannon River which in this area was 3-4 foot over flood levels.
Hauled sandbags in with pickups until doors got wet, then used canoes to get them to where crews kept stacking them.
Crazy rain amounts!IMG_6789.jpegIMG_6799.jpeg

Did that in ( may have been) 1998 IIRC. filling and sending filled bags down the road when Mississippi was flooding for a while.

They have changed the rules for a lot of things.

Aids in drug sales, vaccinations, people thinking they have the ______ syndrome after watching a commercial on TV.

We as a society have gotten soft and stupid.
Upset, mad cause it's true. Public education isn't teaching what we learned in the 50-60's

We are under a heat advisory today only supposed to get 92. Used to be when the temperature was over 100 we would be under a advisory. They are changing the parameters for an agenda

Remember a few years back when we saw 2 straight weeks of 102 -107?

That was special miserable.

Got so hot, the ticks and chiggers quit biting..

Creek was still cooling, more betterer than a c as it it more direct removal of internal heat. IMHO
