Haven't really noticed. I did have the muffler cover off for the quicky gill flap mod.. The piston & cylinder looked like new. Bare aluminum cylinder and Crome plated piston.

Ahh. Should be thick ring engine then. My understanding is the thick ring was the 3.7. Thin ring is a 3.8.

Usually sandwich Baggie the carb and plug the muffler outlet. Two with rubber bands.

Run him as soon as possible after or continue disassembly.

Keeps a ton of crap off the workbench.

What do you plug the muffler with? Snap a pic next time if you think about it.

A larger zip lock baggie and rubber bands. I cut the zip lock portion off.

The outlet on the Olympyk, I wrapped masking tape around a wood dowel until I had a snug fit.

Most mufflers are rain resistant to begin with. So is the whole saw for that matter.

Just don't shoot water directly into an opening.

Turn frequently side to side, end for end and upside down to drain dry.

I don't do it in cold weather.

Took a super xl apart, I didn't have
The carb kit. I put the new fuel line and
Filter in and cleaned it all up.
Got carb kits on the way.
The carb is in a baggy.
Today was about worthless.
Ran around getting stuff I needed for the old truck and delt with the insurance some more, still no settlement yet
