The rabbit population took a hit last night at my folks place. Mother said they are eating her flowers off & doing a number on her rose bushes.



So I went in & told her the rabbit population was down & she thanked me. Then she asked how many raccoons & coyote’s I got because they need to go as well.
Alrighty then.

Red Oak is about 45 mile NW from me as the crow flies. That branch of the Nishnabotna runs down thru Shenandoah to Hamburg & dumps into the Missouri around Peru, NE & Watson,MO

Doing this. We caught 9 spoonbill last weekend in OK. Did he hire a guide? I put together the setup to run divers from my boat as well a couple years ago. It's a different thing from the bank. We had been boat fishing for years and started going back to Miami a couple years ago. Need to have you guys tag along.

He went with a friend of his that just takes spoon bills seriously..

Now that I’ve cut one up, we definitely need to tag along sometime...

Put it in the freezer to firm it up some first after doing a rough dress. It will make it much easier to remove the dark red fatty layer. We will cut it about 1/4" thick and dip in tempura batter to fry or smoke it. Brine it first and then smoke a chunk. It is a fatty fish so it works very well.
