Nice collection of chisels! I hope your selling experience goes well. I've been tempted to put some Stihl items on ebay because buyers put such high bids on anything that says "Stihl". There's a lot of horror stories though that make me hesitant. I buy hobby items frequently but I havent sold anything.

I've been selling junk on ebay since '09 I believe.
To date, we have sold around 20k items on there.
It definitely works, but I could tell some stories that would make your blood boil.....

Ebay's doctrine goes something like this;

Sellers are all liars & thieves, buyers are always right, and ebay is the supreme ruler of the universe.

I fired up my 660. Started easy and idles well but it's weak. My arm guage is tellin me that the compression is low. At what compression numbers is a saw of this size wore out? In general, I repair or replace a saw at 110psi

Good is 145 plus.

First I got to drive an F150 Tremor (factory hot rod truck), then I got to drive an F150 Raptor (about 3 steps up from a Tremor) then a guy comes in with the ultimate, F150 Shelby.
Not exactly firewood getters but really cool.

Sawed up a boxelder this afternoon.

Hit a nice porcelain insulator deep inside....



Cut the slab off, got the blade past it and kept going, (with a different blade).
Next cut I went until I was real close then turned in around a came from the other end before sawing the lag off.



These were farmyard trees so I warned the customer that he was paying $25 for every blade we ruined...... no skin off my nose this time.


And that's what a blade looks like after trying to cut porcelain.....

All of those logs have some nice looking grain.

So, when you hit wire or nails, does it ruin the blade enough you have to back it out, or can you usually finish the cut?

Depends what and on how substantial it is, but a single nail or fence wire I can usually finish the cut.

That boxelder is amazing.... I doubt it will stay the vibrant once it's dry....but idk, this is my first encounter with that flavor of tree.
