A guy called me the other day and said he had some stave logs leftover from logging and wanted me to come saw em into quality lumber......


I took the tractor over today and got em ready to mill..... good grief...

I got neighbors who think they can drop off a pile of *s-word and get a gleaming stack of fine lumber..

I have learned to say no.. keep the over engineered firewood..

You are correct. I was not there; before my time. We have had this discussion; Stephen (WSC) says he lives in Oklahoma, very close to the AR/OK border.

He was. He does that any time I insinuate we will never have another GTG because our resident GTG host has become a GTG grinch

We had a not requested welcome to November show up near 9 last evening.

By this morning it was 3" of sticky stuffs. I guess it wouldn't have mattered if the garden got covered or not.

Yep, I figure it's going to take at least 10 more to finish it.
I cut one today that had bug holes.... I didn't get any sellable boards out of that one.... typical for dead trees, unfortunately.
