She's been rummaging around in gut piles for a couple years now..... doesn't seem to mind it one bit.... I guess she's a real farm girl!
Tom will do it too.... but he's happy to let her have the honors.

That’s becoming a lost art.

A lot of once normal things are becoming lost arts anymore, most people don't have a clue how to make the basic necessities of life.
My kids are 3rd generation backyard idiots.... living outside the system as much as we practically can.

Being tech savvy can be handy in today’s world, but so many times at the expense of the very basics of good, self sufficient living.

Plus, sometimes, the old way of doing things makes for a better product.
Sometimes it’s just idiotic, but it’s good to know “why” you do the what..

Then you poly it. To seal it up.
Then hangs on a wall I guess.
I used our branding iron from the 80’s when we lived out in western Nebraska.
Burnt so deep, I was able to run it back through the planer afterward.. smoked the shed up good.

Got great $ from a few slabs a couple years back. One time use for table tops. Hem and hawing about how hard it is to find that size of log , blah blah, blah and they offer more IME
