Where do I have to go to get cedar like that? Cedar seldom gets that big around here.
We've got tons of cedar here.... mostly small garbage, but there is a fair amount of okay sized stuff.
I cut one log yesterday that made a 10x10..... pretty much a one-in-one-thousand kind of deal though.

The guy that owns the place has been buying cedar since '14 so I guess he's got the right contacts for better sized logs now.

It would definitely be handy. There was a fella around here that had one about that size, his had a grapple attachment on the bucket. It was a pretty nifty unit.

I am guessing that a 755 is just a newer version of the 750 or it’s just the designation for the loader series ?

The 750 Deere are a nice size utility dozer, I ran one when I was just out of high school backfillling trenches, sloping creek banks & taking out trees when we were putting in rural water lines. I much preferred it to the D5 they had.
Just under 45,000 lbs.

That’s about the minimum here for really getting piles made.

I Do like some hickory..
Yeah, it's great firewood, and we like it for smoking meat.....but I hate milling it.... like rocks with rebar.

I may mill a couple of these because they are nice clean straight logs, and I'd like to make some handles out of it.

Got a bunch of big oak logs early February. 100 year old golf club is remodeling. Stu said over 100 chip truck loads of chips and 2 million lbs of wood. I got what I could. I hauled for once a day for 6 days. Several loads were only 4 big logs. I think every sawmill around was taking stuff. Club was scared of bad press so it was top secret till they start clearing along the highway.
