Spent the morning doing one of my favorite things to do. Scrounging at the junk yard. I could spend a full day doing that.
After that I got the alternator and power steering pump replaced on the 92 F150. Tomorrow I’ll take it out for a spin and see what else it’s going to need. Worked on the 5.4 block this evening cleaning it up so I can get it ready for assembly.
:)

Good morning y'all. Are Massey Ferguson chainsaws fairly common? I had a fellow offer me one. I really don't know much about vintage saws
Acres shows them manufactured by Roper which is what I was thinking.
Do you have a picture of it?

I don’t feel they are common. I don’t use the term “Rare” unless I’m ordering a steak but I believe M/F used them as a promotional item. Buy a tractor get a chainsaw free.

Ahh, didn’t know that.
Old dogs can still learn new stuff, just slower. :)
Most implement dealers back in the day sold tons of “their brand” items..
even if they didn’t make em.
I liked the John Deere snowmobiles..
Kawasaki made them I think.

The Minneapolis-Moline dealer here sold McCullough saws. Had to be yellow! Bout the time they went to White the Mac saws were phasing out it seems. Good quality files and chains were slipping also!

I do know if the av systems had been like they are today a fellas elbows and shoulders would be in better shape!

Happy new year to everybody!
