Finally have the boiler project finished. Just in time for the cool-down.
The house is already more comfortable than running on the propane.
I expect to see a bit less idle time as it cools down:

I am happy with how the plumbing turned out. I added a thermostatic valve to the domestic hot water so nobody will get burned.

Down to 8° and getting a little more snow..... a bit of swirling breeze, so even the critters under a roof are pretty much covered in snow.... I just went out and gave em all some hay to make em a bit more comfy.

It's basically just cold and windy here and the worst was this AM. It's been sunny since about 11. Still -4, -34 wind chill, but the wind has backed off to 35 mph gusts. Seems we were once again, far enough on the outside of the storm to miss most of it.

My cousin lives 2.5 hours to the east and she said it was basically a sheet of ice out there this morning.

Hopefully those of you in it's path stay safe.

Our shop was 17 degrees ealier today when I was in it
But got all the livestock feed and checked time to go sit in a warm house

Left work at 5pm showed -5. Stopped snowing about the same time. Hard to say how much we got but I’ll guess 4 inches. Got a fire going in the stove now. Feeling warm.
