Got a Lil cs therapy yesterday, couple loads in the lil yellow carrier. When leaving with #2 a pickup w/12' MT trailer rolled in so it's been picked I figure. Now since there's no pic of what has been added to the pile I will go into pause mode til there's at least one
Then I went to yard waste dump and same guy came thru and left as MT as it rolled in. Dave was there, 1st meet, proud o his 661. Square chisel on my 046 ran a bit quicker and spoke well for itself. He wanted to know who had ported my 661 after I spoke of how mine operates.
Maybe I should take the Alaskan rig off the 661 and touch up the cutters on the 42" b&c for a fat ugly trunk w/Lotta branching. Can't depend on those folks 2 b there when you'd like em to be tho.

MT trailers might be a sign of a lot more folks needing to burn wood to stay warm now.

You might want to sharpen your saw chain. It's not cutting very well. :machinegun:

An M16 will cut down an engineer picket.

The long version:

NCO school Ft. Benning, night firing exercise. Blinking light on an engineer picket (steel post) simulated enemy muzzle flash.

Us NCO candidates were two each at a firing point. M16 w/5 mags of tracer.

At the beginning, my pit partner announced his weapon failed to feed and was jammed and handed his mags to me. So that made me near a full 200 rounds.

Now we were instructed to fire two round bursts at the blinky lights.

Nothing doing, l held the trigger back on each mag as fast as I could change ‘em. Directing fire like a hose.

Made one of the blinky lights cease.

My M16s barrel was near orange and the gas tube was white. Maybe ruined it.

I surmise I cut that steel post off. [emoji6]

Another M16 adventure:

Found a bandolier of 5.56 on the floor of a track (APC). Ninety rounds IIRC.

Practiced at the dump on a 105 ammo crate, walking the rounds off the ground midway to the target wooden box.

What was interesting is that many bullets had gone thru the box Sideways! with great distruction on exit.

Addendum:

While engaged in the above exercise I was approached by a Cobra jockey. He asked to shoot my M16 as he had never fired one even in training.

So there we were, a young buck sargent and a warrant officer plinking at the dump. I shot his S&W .38 and he my black rifle.
